Hi all. I just finished tearing apart, and putting back together a Savage 25 I bought used. The one thing I noticed when trying to run the truck is that the carb seems loose, and fuel seems to be leaking out of where it enters the engine. I really cranked down on the screw that holds it on, and I don't think I can screw it in any farther but the carb is still loose, and I can easily turn it back and forth, although I can't pull it out. Should it be doing this? If not, how can I fix it? Is the fix as simple as putting a new o-ring in it? Thanks for the help.

you can get a o-ring kit with all the o-rings for the whole mill. i got a used 4.6ho in a hellfire i got off the bay & replaced all the o-rings for $5

Ok, I'm trying to pull the carb out of the engine, but I can't get it off. Is there a trick to pulling it off. I don't want to break or ruin something, if there is some special method to getting it off.

Ok, thanks to Ace and purenitro on another thread, I found the solution to taking out the carb easily. You have to loosen the pinch bolt out pretty far, and then push it back in. Then the carb comes out pretty easily.

I went ahead and sealed the carb with some silicon gasket sealant, but found that there is some kind of sleeve around the neck of the carb where it goes into the engine, which is why the carb moves around even though I have the pinch bolt super tight. Is that right? I've never seen that before, and could be the cause of the leak I'm seeing.
