what is the best nitro savage rtr kit now a days ? , i have an old savage .21 but time for a new one

You'll get alot of debate on this. You basically have the X and the XL. The XL has the extended chassis, hub extenders and the K5.9. The X has the F4.6. Aside from those items, wheels/ tires and body they are otherwise mostly the same. For me, I've never thought much of the K5.9 and I like the shorter chassis. So, for me, the X.

3rd times a charm I like the x better, its the right size, and I like the 2 needle carb and not a 5.9 fan . they are both great trucks but on a track the x is better and nimble. I think its the perfect package for me personally!

Well I only have the one Savage X, it came to me as a box of parts and I went thru it all personally, mine has an axial .32 in now and I have to say I like the shorter wb rig also......

My X's are outfitted with the Xl outer drivetrain. very stable on corners, moreso than the Xl is

But $440 is cheap for a new flux
