Man i'm about half way thru the build ,this is one awesome truck!
This is what i'm adding so far.
Ball bearings for the steering
RPM Center skid plate
Heavy Duty center dog bones
HPI Wheelie bar
Bad Horsie shock covers
Associated shock oil
Fuel tank guard
Led Meter for the battery
Hpi aluminum joint bars
Jr Xr3 Radio w/ high torque servo for the steering / hump pack/fail safe
Well , thats about it right now , i'm wating on the radio to continue.
Is there anything else anyone could recommend at this time?

get a nice engine and buku pipe, steel spur gear, a tire of ur choise

big bore shocks,lcg engine plate,and those dirt bones that come with the kit are awsome tires gives it a nice ride!

Looks like you have most of your bases covered. You might consider the OFNA throttle mod.

As far as spurs go, you'll hear it both ways here. I am a plastic spur believer. It's a great weak point and simple to replace. When you go with a steel one, you move the breaking point somewhere else, usually inside the tranny which cost a lot more and is more difficult to replace.

i gonna order my x ss very soon =) ill put in a k5.9 and a hitec hs 645 mg for the steering and a 525 bb for throttle/brake and a jp failsafe which weighs only 5 grams! this is the body i gonna use on it
