I was looking at photos of the new Savage XL F5.9 2.0 and noticed that it looks a lot like the Savage Octane. Would it be possible to buy and Octane chassis and frankenstein one? the only differences I noticed were the radio/throttle box, its a bit higher on the Octane to accommodate for the extra wiring needed to start up the 2-stroke and there is no exhaust support mount, however there IS a whole to add one.
Looking for others two cents, thank you and look forward to reading your replies.
P.S I did read that the F5.9 2.0 has the same chassis as the octane as well as the “octane gearbox”. Do you guys think its do-able? I'm thinking of buying an octane roller and throwing the guts of my savage XL K5.9 into it and buying parts of the F5.9 that I need to finish the conversion when its finally released.
