Hey guys, as some of you may know i have a savage X 2spd roller that i was going to put on ebay, but now I'm thinking its worth more to me if i keep it.

I need help knowing what parts i would need to convert and make it work.

I know Good batterys are a must and a decent Drivetrain.

What other parts would i need to make it "work"?

Also I'm not after A super fantastic fast blow your brains out motor and esc, i just want something that can move it around.

Cheers guys

I just ordered a FLM49000 trans forward kit from FLM. Includes extended TVP's, new dogbones, motor mount, etc. It also moves everything inside the TVP's - something I never liked about the Flux's in the first place. Not cheap, but it gets you what you need to make the conversion and a number of upgrades too.

As for electronics, well depends on what you want. I would recommend a Mamba Monster with a 2200kv motor - but that is based on what I have read more so than what I have had personal experience with. I am putting one into my Hellfire (with a 2650kv motor, not a 2200) but will be getting the 2200 motor soon and just swap the esc between them for now.

Just my $.02!

yea that price sounds right sudi, but thing is uk stuff isnt cheap, and alot of stuff on ebay.com don't ship to uk. Flux motor and esc over here is 250 pound plus on ebay =[ model shops are more

All your big bits will need to come from the states... ONly way you will save money.

Get the standard torq2200 motor and esc to accompany.

If you have a roller, then you have most of the parts you will need. I am in the process of doing the same conversion, but is on hold right now until I get settled in the new house, and get a motor/esc combo. All you will need is a set of tvp's, motor plate/motor braces, batt boxes and a batt box parts tray to get the esc mount. I picked up everything but the parts tree, BNIB for around 75 dollars shipped on ebay. It may cost a little more to ship overseas, but its the cheapest route I found so far. The only obstacles you have to overcome will be is to convert the tranny so you can have some sort of brakes, or use a mechanical brake system with the stock linkages. To use the linkages you will have to modify the batt boxes a little. the second obstacle is mounting the motor. The BL motor I originally planned to use was too small for the stock Flux motor braces. When you choose a motor, make sure there is some kind of mounting bracket/braces and mod the engine plate if needed to make it fit. Good luck
