Well guys, that it so far. Comments and suggestions are welcome. Let me know if you have any better parts that i could think of using (please note: THIS IS NOW A BUDGET BUILD )

Thanks for looking and il post up pics when i sort out the sizes of them. cheers

Wow is it just me or is everyone building Crazy nice savages these days. cant wait to see some pics, nice list bud, your well on your way.

Its not just you notch. Its just getting more and more comon to build these beast with all the how to threads on her everyones getting into crazy builds I think. To bad their all so similar though IMO. Great builds just all same stuff. Guess its cause when you figure out what parts are worth while that's what you go for. Lol. Nice lost can't wait to see it finished. Going to be a sweet truck.

Could you do a build for us with pics along the way. Did you buy the black or silver IRC plates?

I got the silver 1inch rear and 6mm frot extended, they come silver as standard, i suppose i could have got them anodized by IRC but i couldnt be bothered waiting.

I will post pics and a build up of what ive put on later on.

hey guys, havnt posted in a while so here go's nothin!

a few things in my list have now changed.

ive opted for an unmodded picco for the moment

so far i have changed my diff oil from the stock grease (30k front 10k rear)

Ive also installed the 17mm uv joint kit (pictured)

I'm working on a wing mount at the moment which i still need to support a bit more( if it fails then its the prc mount)

i finished painting up my body shell today (about an hour ago)
i originally planned yellow with black strips down the middle, however the yellow on the page of the website looks totaly different to the actual contents which was more like luminous green.

ive got a load of parts coming tomorrow to finish most of it off, just need my stuff from america since all the airports were closed in the uk =[

pics are looking gd!!! i see what your saying about using the old wheels to raise the ride height of the truck... wings really look good on these trucks! They should def have them as standard

My new SPI rims

I didnt think about asking spi to make the hole larger so i had to get the drill out LOL <<<NOOB

Looking gd!!! What are you going to mount on them??? i want to get some Show/Road use ones... Just don't know what style to go for.

Did you drill a 12mm hole yea???

yea, I'm working my way up through the drill bits so i don't ruin anything, I'm going to put dirt bonz tyres on them as i have a set of phaltlines on the way pre-made

Pretty sharp looking wheels. They don't come with airholes either do they? No where to put one is there?with out is showing. Full offset. I know my rpm wheels didn't have air holes. Pita to glue tires on with out being squished and staying that way cause no air getting back in. So I drilled holes in mine. Might be something to concider if possible on the spi.

yea theres an airhole, the hole for the hex was originally about 5mm in dia, i need 12mm dia, i asked rick at spi if i would be damaging the strength and he said not at all and id still be under warranty =], Yes the phaltlines are too big of a dia to fit, u need 3.2inch dia tyres

iban, one thing you should consider is drilling a couple more air holes... Something i should have done when i had the chance...

ok so I'm thinking of making a little changes as to where my battery and rx are, at the moment the battery will be mounted up front on the shock tower, The rx box that comes with the mid-tank kit sits underneath the fuel tank mount.

IRC have also made this midtank plate to work with a mugen fueltank and a CEN rx and battery box, I'm thinking of swapping to this option to save me a bit of hassle, the rx box i have now is ment for micro rx's which is poop and i have to take the tank plate off to get into it along with screws holding the lid down.
If i swap to the CEN style its right on top in my face and held by clips.

Anyway enough ranting about rx, heres some pics of what it will basically look like when finished minus a few things.

If he's deep pockets then Yes it's a budget build. For the rest of us it's a beastly build. Go for it. We need pics before the 1st run.
