Does anyone know if this header needs to be changed to xl header or any bigger 1 fo Lrp 32 ?

👊 bro coz stock x header lot more restricted compared to xl 1

The guy I know with the LRP powered Savage uses the Dynamite 053 pipe combo, which according to him, is basically the same as the 089.

No mention of any need or desire to run a Savage XL manifold with it. 👍

Either way, I just smashed 46mph out of the park with my vintage STS D30M. 😎😁

Not a Savage XL manifold in sight. 😁😝

Respect man loving all the INFO n that’s a good speed run is that TOP MAN
Cheers buddy! 😎🤩

Have you tried that Savage XL manifold with any nice tuned exhausts? The dude I was talking to about it liked the nice flowing, gentle 180° turn and large bore. If it can fit the sort of pipes the LRP works well with, it might offer up some gain.

It's really down to what actual tuned pipe you intend to use. 👍

I'm using an inline tuned exhaust system #0702, with the manifold from STS for the savage. It's held together with springs rather than a silicone coupler (that always worked perfectly well back in the day I might add).

I'm using an old Motorsaver 3 stage airfilter minus the outer foam. My new HPI filter arrived today, which I'll use with this one for the outer foam.

New body arrived too - so I feel the need for another flame paint job....😅👌

Losi 22X-4 body also arrived. 🤩 It's all happening - I feel a bit like KT - 'its Christmas everyday!' 🤣

You've done a great job - I love the blue and fluorescent yellow combo!

I highly recommend you make one small modification:

Put a bend in the brake lever that operates the brake cam - as per the orange line - so that your servo has optimal mechanical advantage at the point the cam is pressing against the brake pads. It increases braking force significantly.

You achieve greater leverage with your servo. See this exaggerated image - it's probably the best way to explain why.

Sorry Vinni - you asked about the Spur. It's a 47t hardened steel spur (quite a heavy one) - by RW.

But it survives.

The Fioroni clutch I run generally stays pretty cool and doesn't eat bearings or spurs.

However, the STS D30M eats the plastic ones, especially with lower gearing. Or it rips the cross out of the middle where the slipper is.

The LRP is a monster torque engine, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the RW. 👍

It's old though - I fitted it in 2007! It's still mint.
