savage x fluctuating idle after 1 gallon

Hi everyone. New to the site and relatively new to the nitro world. My previous rig was a tmaxx 2.5 so this thing to me is a beast from a different world. So here's the story. I've had a great first gallon. It seems like I got more power every tank. One day I left my rig in the trunk of my car to run later that day with half a tank still in it. I pinched to shut it off right at the tank outlet so nothing was in the engine. I got called into work and forgot about it. It was 90 degrees and I left it there 2 days. I don't remember if that's when the problem started but winter ended my season shortly after. The idle fluctuating was happening only after warming up and It didn't effect power at all. Did I ruin my engine? Did I cause an air leak? My father is a mechanic and said he thinks its a leak by the symptoms I described. Any input would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance! I need this thing screaming before the snow is gone.
