 Well up here in Canada we have lost of snow. I was told not to run the savage in the winter cuz things would break easier. True?? I'v got so many up grades like the BUKU, three speed my new radar gun from BushNell and so on. The roads are covered with ice and snow that I can't get a good reading from the truck. If you guys are running in the winter do I need a different glow plug? or should I pack it in for a while? Cheers!!

i have already ran my savage in the snow on the streets of ice and its fun. yes if u hit a pole or something hard it does brake easier. If u have alot of snow and planning to get more make a track in ur backyard or something/

Things do break easier when there cold no matter what it is. As far as running in the cold I do like to run a med-hot or hot plug. It's easier to start and runs warmer. Wrap your engine head with something to keep the air flow off of it. You will need to richen your fuel mixture up some to for the dense air. Running in the snow is a blast just make sure your electronics don't get too water logged especially your rx. Now get out there and do some donuts!!:jamout:

Another thing to do is spray the snow with a hose and let it freeze, like snow that is piled up from plowing or shoveling. Shape it how you want it and then spray it with water and you got a some sweet jumps. When I was younger running electric trucks I would take my tires apart and put thumbtacks from the inside of the tire out and super glue them. Find a frozen pond or out in the street where it was iced over and shred some ice.:bluehack:

I just put two tanks through my savage 25 in two inches of snow in Kansas today. Ran great, lots of snow kept packing in the wheels from the sharp turning. I just set up a jump and when it lands it knocks it loose. Great fun, our snow was all powder and the wake of snow at full throttle looks awesome. Get out there and drive.
