So, i was sitting around waiting for parts. when i got the idea to share this with you guys.

I modded my savage tank to get rid of that infamous half tank lean issue. I can't take credit for the entire mod. I found it on a forum, I forget what one.

The bit that i came up with myelf was the following.
I read that having a longer fuel line with one or two loops on it, will help with tuning, half tank lean and keep your nitro running longer if it flips over. I knew i wanted these benefits but the idea of looping fuel line through my shock tower was not cool. So i came up with this.

I took one of the big plastic shock spacers that you use to eliminate the smaller springs on the shocks. I fed fuel line down the inside looping it as it went in. Took two zip ties. And looped them through the center hole and tighten them, just enough to keep the fuel line in place.

It has 3 or 4 little loops in it and seems to regulate fuel pressure to the carb very well.

So tell me what ya think, love it, hate it? It is good, it's bad?

Let's hear it!!

Hey thanks for the reply.

Yea it dose work very well, when it flipped, i could walk up to it instead of run. And i could just pull it up, open the lid and refuel, without shutting it down. Just a quick temp check and back out on the track. Works almost too well. I couldn't tell when it was low on fuel by the sound. LOL.

You should try it, you can "tune it" to your liking some what, the more loops the more it restricts flow. I made one with like 10 loops, the engine would idle perfect but if you gave it any gas, it would stall and it didn't matter how rich you set the carb. So i went back to this one.

Give it a try, it's free if you still have all the bits that came with your savage.

not sure what I have yet lol.....I also have a mid tank mod on my savage, no sure if it matters, but I'm switching out the tanks soon hopfully 😀

Even with a midtank, additional feed line will help keep it running until you reach it to flip it back over. As Jack as found though, there is a point of diminishing returns
