These are pics of a Savage that Ive been working on for awhile now,I bought it with the chassis already installed and then I went from there...just really had the chance to try it out at the Halloween Bash at Diggers Dungeon this past weekend...Came in third in the Big Block class right behind John Schultz and Jackie Chan...(John beat me on the tree but I beat him across the line ;-) VERY close race...)
These pics are a little older,it now has the full Jammin CRT Pro suspension w/17mm hubs instead of the 14mm shown and Jammin CRT Pro steering knuckles, also I have moved the steering servo to the bottom of the chassis.Ill try to have the new pics up soon 😎
Basic truck so far
Vertigo RTC Chassis (Extended+Lowered)
Vertigo center chassis protector
Vertigo engine plate
Vertigo CF brake disc
HB heatsink engine mount
Jammin CRT Pro arms/hub carriers/axles F+R

HB Lightning Stadium upper arm links and shock towers(well whats left of the towers...)

They work very well and have more travel than the truck can handle, they are a little tricky to get sealed properly...But overall an improvement in handling for me.

Wow am am totally buying some crt pro arms now. That looks nice, are they lighter then stock? Are they stronger or weaker? Take a ton more pics I really like this truck. Take the body off and snap away.

Yes the arms are lighter than the stock setup,no issues to speak of with strength but this truck does NOT get bashed :-/ Ill weigh the truck in race trim with fuel in it just to see what the setup weighs.
One thing I should mention...This truck no longer has Bulkheads,I shaved everthing possible to save weight including ALL of the bumper mounts/bulkheads and such ;-) Ill take some pics tomorrow. Also the rear arms are drilled to accept the threaded hinge pins at the hubs, but if you use jammin pins this wouldnt be necessary(Used what i had)

Okay, finally made it to the camera to take some new pictures...Still Dirty from the race at the dungeon 😎

Nice pics of a real nice truck, but It seems you've lost some pieces there bud better go back to the track and see if you can find them. lol Never knew you could do without the bulkheads and stuff way to lighten it. I need all the parts on I can get the way I drive.lol Nice truck Savage1

Nice ride, welcome to HPISF is that thing still a savage or a home made truck LOL looks good how does it do in races

Thanks for the kind comments :beforeme: Well actually the only part of the bulkhead left is the part from the diff to the chassis, the part that has the aluminum rod going through it...Just for lack of not having something to replace that part with that would probably end up being heavier. The truck handles alot more like a Truggy than a monster truck,it corners on a dime, and jumps WAY better than a stock savage,NO problem hanging with any monster truck on the track. The only thing I could use more of is foward traction.Maybe moving the tank foward might keep the front end on the ground better, also I plan to make some sway bars for the front and rear.

Shocking

looks like a nice turck how do you like them shocks ?
First off nice truck you have there!I have tried those shocks and was disappointed with them but I only Bash.I would think they are great for Racing because they are shorter and lower the ride height and have less travel. But cool looking Racer dude!Dave:10:
