Savage Engine Identification

Hello All,

I've just taken into my possession a Savage 25 that's been rebuilt on a Savage X chassis so has a few variations, some bits are X and some bits are 25. How do I tell whether its a 2.5 or a 4.6 engine. On the HPI website it looks like a 4.6 but I don't think it is. What's the best way to check?

Sorry not used to the Savage standard engines.

Can you post a pic of the engine. Would help us identify it for you.

the marking will be on the side of the block to tell you which engine it is

Can you get us some pictures of the mill in this truck.

I think I've solved it now. Somebody had tried to remove the markings or messed about doing something, but upon cleaning it up I can just make out "25" in the casing.
