I just put in a new steering servo in my savage and when i turn the wheels they wont go back to center when its on the ground and the receiver starts buzzing. could this be because my rx has a low batt?

i tried it with the charger hooked up (not sure if it helps) but it still buzzed. when i rolled it forward a little bit it stopped so i think when its driving it should be fine but I'm gonna leave it on the charger for a while and try it later.

not sure ill double check it later but its a pretty loud buzzin noise but everything is working fine.

It is most likely the servo buzzing. What servo do you have? I know I just installed a JR9100T about a month ago (still haven't ran it!) and when it is trying to turn and can't then it buzzes loudly.

is the truck moving or stationary? if you disconnect the servo horn from the servo then turn it either way does it return to center?

Its a hpi sf5 i charged the rx and tightened everything and the servo is still buzzing. with the car upside down it recenters and stops buzzing but turn the wheels all the way and hold it and it starts buzzing again.

it sounds like everything is normal. i have hitech 645 that buzzes sometimes and due to the weight of my truck and wheels if i turn them all the way at a stand still on my floor they wont return to center either. when I run the truck everything is fine. I think you should run the truck to see the performance. I wouldn't really use that servo for a steering servo IMO.

I like to set my servo saver so I can turn lock to lock on a vinyl floor. It wont on carpet.. whine is fine most do that.
