running rich

ok I'm stumpped, i got a axial 28rr, with a hpi k4.6 carburator.
no matter what i do i run rich.alot i set settings to flush.then i went in 1 turn on each needle.it started to break up like running to lean .so i backed off a tad my temps are 145 i hit the gas it blows alot of smoke then dies.i tried going all the way in on my settings and 2 turns out.it breakes up.so after a hour trying this i gave up.picked my truck up threw it on the floor and broke a tie rod.damm. any help please.if i cant figure this out I'm selleing evrything real cheap

145 is pretty low for temps. the big thing is to tune for where the engine performs. try this guide.

i tried evrything. i did a air leak test in water and all my carb needles are leaking

I'm gonna just buy the right carb for it.then all the settings will be set for break in and i should be able to lean it little by little until it is right.i think the air leak is y i cant tune this

its hard to give any suggestions where you bought the mill used.

I'm wondering if the pinching that the sleeve had done to it affected the ports and timing causing the seller to put it on ebay in the first place.

hmmm thats true it was suposse to be repinched by rays racing in ny.but now that i think of it it was sold as is.ill try a new carb if that don't do it ill have to rebuild
