hi guys

ive bin looking at a roll cage but after looking at some of the posts there are some people that seem to like them and then there are some people that think they are a waste of money i have also been looking at making one :dunno:

at the moment I'm bashing around da back yard but eventualy i want to race and i don't want to break things unnessasarilly

i am looking at spending around $40-$50 what do you think about this

thanx Rex_hvn

forget the roll cage for racing. Just added weight. Most of the stuff I've broken from racing were shocks and spurs. None from not having a cage. Just my .02.

I've Thought About A Roll Cage But As Was Said Above It Adds To Much Weight I Think And Any That Are Pretty Light Are Weak And Not Worth The Money! I Guess Actually It Comes Down To Preference !

Yeah Roll cages do add wieght. But the home made set I made out of aluminum isnt that much and it has held up to some huge air with bad landings that would have distroyed the heat sink or even the motors head it also covers the whole gutts of the truck.

Bad thing is well there isnt really cuz I can run it with or with out a body now

Plus I don't really race pro or anything if I race its really to just bash race and go off of ramps and junk. Good luck with what ever you do

I just bought the sav X plastic one. My old metal one finally took a hit it couldn't bend back from. I probably won't use it though not if I go brushless.

My point was to make your own like them actually. Not that hard. If people are interested maybe I can make up a few sets. Maybe 50 bucks a piece shipped. I'm not sure on material cost right now though so I would have to check with my supliers.

yea well i got a 2nd hand cage off a m8 and i am thinking of making some up and use dat as a template and then i can make it light and stronger and i priced ut up 2 b round $50 australian
