roll bar, head protector

alright guys i need some help. i bought the flm extended lcg tvp's and my head protector on the rollbar is 1 inch to short, duh. i need to figure out a way to make it mount to the shock tower, so i can keep my head protected. i was thinking about taking my old integy wheelie bar bracket and flattening it out and drillin a couple holes. what do y'all think of this. any advice is welcomed.

I bit the bullet and took off the head protector. I'm a Nazi about my heads being perfect, but you kinda don't have a choice unless you want to do like you said and fabricate something for it.

You're less likely to scrape the head with the body mounts sitting further back the way they are now anyways. 😉

I made a bracket from alu. angle. Here is a picture of it if you can make it out.

As yuo can see I drilled the Innovative LST shock mount and bolted the angle piece to that then drilled a 2 holed in the bottom part of the angle the same size or distance as the roll bar then use a zip tie to hold it in place, a bolt couuld be used to but they weight more and a zip tie does a fine job.

That comes from olso on this and other boards, FYI. He's done a lot of great things with his Savages. He's certiainly not afraid to break the mold! Those are a couple of great ideas for the rollcage! Depending on how my new shell ends up fitting, I may have to re-consider ditching that part.

No problem and I happen to have 2 roll bars so I will hack up one to get the pieces for the mod.
Maybe you have like a parts tree or an old bumper laying around you could use?
