Pondering switching to a Robinson GEN3 Slipper Unit/Spur - I stripped another stock one and am undecided whether I want to change from plastic to steel. I already purchased it but having a little buyer's remorse. If you've made the switch how do adjust the nut/spring - is there any difference when tightening it all back up? I guess rule of thumb - tighten all the way down the back off a 1/2 turn? Also if you made the switch have you had any issues since straying away from the stock plastic spur gear?

Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated - thanks!

at 1/2 turn backed off it will slip way too much, not sure on the RRP slipper setup as i have never used it, but usually tighten all the way tight and back off at most 1/4 turn and see how it works, my stock slipper is running almost all the way tight, maybe backed off 1/8 turn

I've ran the Robinson Racing 16/48 combo fully tightened for years. Zero issues.

Just installed and tightened down and backed of a 1/4 then 1/8 - slipping quite a bit still. I'm gonna keep on tightening still it stops I guess like HPISF Ghost said...

I have the RR spur using the stock slipper and I run mine tight, I want very little slipping at all......
