How about some links to the parts you are talking about since I do not know what those part numbers are or if they will fit. As far as cb/spur combos, 16/48 or 17/48 will be ok.

Well after looking at RR website it looks like you bought a combo for a .21/.25savage..I see that they have a seperate spur and cb for the X. Not sure but this might be a reason you are having trouble. Here is a link for the cb and spur:http://www.robinsonracing.com/hpi.html.

I thought this was a savage forum. guess i cant get help here!

Yeah you are right, this is a savage forum. But it might take a little while to get a response. Please try to have a little:resp: and some patients so we can try and help you out Bud..

IMO, I think you are wasting your money for that setup, but thats just my opinion. If you want a steel spur, go with an HP hardened CB and a HPI steel 47t spur. You can get them cheap off the bay. Check your engine plate and make sure its not bent, could be the cause of your cb rubbing the brakes. Make sure the mesh is good also, mesh is the quickest way to trash a spur, and since you are running steel, quickest way to wreck a CB. Unless you are good at setting the mesh, you may want to stick with plastic spurs, cheaper to replace when they get stripped. Good luck!!

Define wrong spur and clutch bell. these 2 gears do not typically come as a matched set, in fact you change the performance of the truck by changing up these 2 gears. Check your motor plate to make sure its straight. if its not straight, you will continue to blow up cb's and spurs.

Attitude does not help around here. Nothing is perfect, including this site. On occasion the thread may get missed or those reading it may not have information to help you out. A little more courtesy will go a long way.

good luck and keep us posted.
