Returned fuel

While breaking in a new engine I noticed unused fuel returning to my tank via the pressure line. Is this normal seems like this would contaminate the fuel reservoir since the exhaust is dirty .its like 1/2 " segments then 2" of space then another

Its just oil residue and a minor ammount of unburnt fuel. It wont hurt anything and is normal.
