They are a shelf queen's exhaust. Any good hit to the back of the truck will take it out.

well considering how many times my Savage has landed a big jump and flipped over backwards or done an out of control wheelie which sent it tumbling end over end I do not think an exhaust like that would actually survive for long....

Lots of guys here use the dynamite 086 on their trucks and swear they are the best, I do not have one, mine is an unbranded aluminum pipe and header I think from HPI but it works well and sounds good to me......
I would stick with a side exhaust just for the value of it being protected somewhat...

I must admit that it looks very nice.. but with your experience, I can see that it wouldn't last to long. Thanks guys.

I agree with X. Given the choice I would choose a good tuned side pipe over the looks of the rear mount. Unless I built another street only savage then I could see running the rear mount

I've read quite a few posts about pipes like that being just awful for power/tuning. Dodge the bullet and go for something more typical.

If you run a 4-shock setup, you could at least upgrade the header to get better flow than the stock one that has the sharp bend in it.

I picked up a dynamite 086 used on eBay for $5. Not a dent or scratch on it. Keep attention to ebay for deals like that, sometimes you can find some good deals. When I'm on eBay I search hpi savage then filter used parts and start with the cheapest.
