this may have sticky potential if others keep adding and reviewing servos as they use them or upgrade. so please add to this thread if you can

picked this up recently because my steering servo is fried and going to install it today. i picked this one because its water proof, has more torque and is faster than the hitec 645mg. this is my first hop-up do to neccessity. anyone had any luck using this servo? ill get back with a review on it after i have ran it.

REVIEW:

got it up and running and for the price it seems to me it is a good servo. very fast and makes it handle a little better, any bump you find in the road or a rock you find somewhere will not push it to the left or right like the stock servo did for me. it may not be to some peoples standards but for me it worked out and I'm back to bashing. it does buzz but thats standard for digital servos.

The Hitec 645mg actually puts out 133oz at 6v (humppack). It is slower though my a ton...

Personally I liked my 645mg but I will never go back to it....

This is a great servo they just need to get some Metal gears out for it.

Remember guys the specs he posted are for I believe 4.8V not 6V. This is also Digital so will gain full power on command unlike analog and will also have better holding power because of being digital. My guess the specs on this at 6v would be 140-150oz and 13-14sec.

If they come out with metal gears I may start switching my T/B over to these and use as a back up for steering beings with a metal gear package it will be very similar in price to the Hitec 5645mg specs plus being water proof. Just my .02.

specs posted are for 4.8v. using my hump back it is very strong. supposedly there IS a metal gear set for this and I'm trying very hard to find it.

i think it would be to weak for the savage. the servos that are made for traxxas do work great but that for that company but seeing how that savage is a 12lb+ truck I'm not sure how it would perform. remember traxxas rc's are a lot lighter as well.:resp:

Id maybe use it for a throttle servo. even then its too slow for me. I like 175oz x .07 for my throttle brake...
