I looked for my old mid tank mod on here and noticed all the pictures were gone. I tried to edit it but it wouldn't let me. If the moterators want to erase my old one thats fine.
Any way it is pretty easy, cheap and quick to do. Its nice because you do not have to relocate any servos or cut up your radio box. So far it has worked great with no problems. They only thing I would caution about with this mod is heavy bashing. I used a mugen 150cc X5T tank.

I made a bracket out of a small piece of metal for the front. I used the screw and hole that was already there to mount it too.

I used the original fuel tank mount, I just had to drill and new hole in the TVP.

Next I made a skid plate out of a piece of sheet metal. The thicker you use the more protection you'll have.

I had to replace the metal brake rod with a flexible bicycle brake cable so that the lid would open on the fuel tank. If you do this you might need to put a rubber band or spring on the brake arm to pull it back up.

See how the cable shifts out of the way when the lid is opened.

So far I have noticed no half tank lean and it is much better balanced over jumps. It also gives you a lot better LCG than other mid tanks. I'm sure other experts on here could make it look even cleaner, but I was just using things I had lying around.
