Q about Savage XL wheels/tires

do Savage XL wheels/tire fit the Savage X ?

I know both of them 17mm hex but the XL has Wheel Extensions

Yah they fit, i used to use them all the time till i got my dirt bonz & Q6 racing rims !

i was thinking about getting a pair for my savage 25. will it make any difference because they are bigger than my stock wheels?

they sure will make a differance with the taller tire it will change you gear ratios and how it will handle cuz they have a lot of sidewall flex but they are good in loose dirt/sand/gravel but are horrible on road and hard packed stuff
just my .02

ya you are totally right they are horrible on road

I think must of savage owner like to drive it on dirt, because it's too high.. and it's hard to control on road...

if you wanna fit the extended xl drive cups and spacers you will need the xl dog legs and diff cups too as the xl doglegs are much bigger than the x quite expensive for an extra inch

Besides, for the extra inch of track, you could just get some zero-offset wheels. Stockers are 1/2" offset, so zeroes will give you the extra inch without changing your supension or axles.

stockers are zero offset and 1/2 offset will give you a 1 inch wider wheel base. i run 1/2 offset and it is such an improvement over stock.
