This question goes out to all you racers out there.

Where is the best place to mount your PT?

I have heard that it will not work properly if it is mounted directly onto your carbon fibre TVP's.

Just looking for some ideas.

He is referring to Personal Transponders for racing, such as those at club races or big events that use them for lap counting.

Most truggy/buggies have a spot for them on the radio trays but I have always drilled a hole in my body on the front windshield and put it on that (for those that use the clubs transponders). If you use a personal one such as the AMB and such I would mount it to the radio box or something close, but on the outside of it maybe on the radio box lid.

Ohh i was just thinking about making a thread asking the same ques for my flux.

I would say mount it by you steering servo if you have a PERSONAL transponder. that way its protected by the skid plate and the chassis.

and for the house transponder put it in your body on the truck

Not sure about that but of course you want it placed somewhere that it will count your laps and you want it to be protected. Hate for a $100 transponder get destroyed...
