Got my new race truck set for its first day of summer racing. I thought I was going to run it more stock but figured that wasnt my style. So I went ahead and made a couple little changes to it from what I had been told were weak points from people. And I had a couple parts made just to look cool.
The ball studs were the only weak point I have heard of to date. thats a good thing so far, but its still fairly new to the market. And I switched over to Deans plugs so all you electric guys can lay off me about the crappy Tamiya plugs.

Upgrades:
Spektrum receiver
Custom carbon fiber battery, servo and bulkhead braces from Platinum RC Products
Lunsford titanium ball studs
RPM Punisher ball cups
Blue Bird 631MG servo
Robinson Racing 18 tooth pinion gear
T-Bone RC front and rear bumpers
Natedog's screws
Deans Ultra plugs

I will just start racing her from here and see what happens. I have a few spare parts ordered just in case. Here is some fresh pics with my newly acquired BH stickers...... Enjoy!

I intend to put it through the paces at the track here in the next couple days. I would guess buying a better 15T motor would be smarter than running this stock motor.
Does anyone have a suggestion?

Take a look at the novak brushless systems if you have funds. I run the 19t equivalent and its nice, I wouldn't say it is close to a 19t brushed motor though. Run time is also longer and nice to have during the races compared to everyone else running brushed.

Yes the mamba setups are nice but for the type of racing I do its hard enough to handle the power of the brushless and the 3800mah batteries in the 2wd stadiam trucks...

Thanks guys! I was going to try and hold off on going brushless for now if at all possible. I still need new tires and some more spare parts before I will have funds like that.
I also need fuel and plugs for the Savage and time is getting short. Race day will be here before I know it.

Had to get a new sticker for the truck too so all the little kids who come over to watch my truck don't end up asking the inevitable question.......

I have only driven it one time for a race. So it had 1 practice pack and 3 heats and that is all the runtime this thing has had. And that was 2 months ago. Its been apart for upgrades ever since.
But I do plan to get some pics of it at the track and hopefully some video too some time here in the next week. If I don't get some track time in with this thing I'm going to be in some real trouble.
