Just made myself a custom motor using:

Armature from RacingPrep motor
Can from Fireball motor (Ballbearing)
Mags from Fireball motor
Heatsink for terminals on Bell
Bell from old green monster motor (Ballbearing)
Deans connectors & 18g Silicone wire
Capacitor board running across terminals to eliminate frequency noise

Not sure on the winds for this beast but the wire itself was pretty thick?
Already broke in the brushes & about to do a bench test tonight.
Wont be for a few days before i can test it in an RC vehicle.

:daz:

update

Just purchased a Stampede for 50.00 and a few items to convert it into a Slash. For the most part it is a rolling chassis with all electronics. Now i have to wait for the Bellcrank, Bumpers and sweet body to arrive sometime in the next week or so before i can test this new custom motor.

heres the project the project motor will be used apon! lol
unfortunetly i haven't got the power connectors for the battery yet to connect to my ESC (still tamiya style on 1800mAh) aswel as the parts listed above that are missing right now to get this on the road. Ordered all using Ebay so it could be yet a week or more before this is a running project. ugh

wow has the pede changed that much ? I don't remember my chassis looking anything like that one ..

not the pede here anymore....

to convert the stampede into what you see above (Slash) you need:

Stempede rolling chassis

Slash chassis
Slash chassis braces (set of 2)
Battery bar (mount)
Bellcrank set up
**this will get your MT into a Slash and running which cost around 50.00 CAD**

Now to complete it would need:

Slash tires/wheels
Bumpers (F/R)
Mud flaps (set)
Slash Body

**the above i have ordered on Ebay and its on its way**

just ordered steel output yokes for the transmission today.

update:

after finally getting the truck to power up lastnight and discovering the motor was lagging. Took it apart and found not a thing wrong with it and decided to try it without the capacitor board from Terminal to Terminal. Now she fires up and seems to have quite some torque but until i get these dreaded parts i wont actually know how well this motor does.

Sorry about the delay...lol
been really working hard on my 1:1 Skyline, had some tuning/mechanical issues which ive resolved now. Flippin shop that i paid 9k to have a rb25det dropped in ended up having 1 thing after another since they did so. This time i just found the injector rail was basically installed by hand-threading in the bolts. losers! :( Once i got that put all back together after cleaning the mess out i installed the EMU recently, just awaiting the DKU-5 cable to modify to connect the laptop to it and start the tuning and upgrade to the MAF.

forgot to add the newest things done to the slash. hehe!

Custom fiberglass Fr shock tower
Custom front cladboard suspension support (suspension arm to suspension arm)
x4 TRX XLong shocks
Losi 2.5rate springs (Fr)
Custom turnbuckles
TRX Servosaver bellcrank

Custom headlight system almost complete, just needs LEDs and mounting to the frontend.
