Hey guys I'm pretty much a basher at heart but my buddies and i have built a dirt track to play on. Looking for a cheap upgrade in the shock department. So i was thinking about getting progressive shock springs and changing the shock oil to a heavier wt. What weight would you guys recommend?

I would say HPI Big Bores, Aluminum or Nylon up to you.

Aluminum Big Bores-

Nylon Big Bores-

Only real big difference is the shock bodies, ones Nylon (Plastic) the other is Aluminum.
Also check :ebay: for deals.
I run the aluminum big bores with 35w oil, hell fire shock caps and hell fire shock shafts.

Hellfire Shock Caps-

Hellfire Shock Shafts-

The shafts will lower your savy by 20mm and for the caps, i'm not sure if you would want them on the nylon big bores but there a must for the aluminum big bores..

cheers

Brandon it sounds like he might be lookin' to drop less coin than what the big bores are gonna cost him.

If thats true, then my question would be have you run the track with the stock shocks & black springs yet? and if you have, then what did you like/dislike about them and what changes are you looking to make? ie. softer landings, less body roll, etc.

the reason i ask is i wanna say i think your running against Revo's. Hate to see a guy throwing coin at the savage without getting to the root of how he wants to take the truck and look at the best fix spending the least amount of coin.
