programming the futaba 3pm spektrum

has anyone setup a 3pm?? the directions are driving me nuts!! any advice??

i just followed it step by step find the bit you want to set press the buttons it tells you to. and mabey only do the stuff you have to do. it should allready come programed with steering, break and throttle
