The pull start brakes alot on my 3rd. And i never pull it all the way out. Also what would happen if i soaked the engine in rubbing alchol to claen the engine- I was thinking of soaking engine for 20 mins then air comparass engine.

How does the pull start act? Does the pull start string stay out or the OWB isn't grabbing?

If you want to clean your engine, you should buy specific cleaner for nitro engines. I just disassemble the engine, wipe it down and coat everything with WD40 then it's clean. You can do either way.

if you do that all the dirt that is at the end of your mill will go into the front bearing. be very careful washing a mill. For a very good (wet) cleaning take off you pull start too. So it will soak the rope!

Also if the rope is snapping allot and your not pulling it out to far (which breaks the spring not rope).. You are most likely loading the mill too much b4 start.

Are you heating up the engine before you try to start it? This will ease up the compression so you don't have to pull as strong and less strain on the rope.
