10 gallons !!!!!!!!!!! thats like a record man :bigsmilie: :bigsmilie: :bigsmilie: :bigsmilie:

I used to change my shoes and springs . every gallons to every 2 gallons . 10 tho thats insane dude

I have purchased the OWB replacement kit as well (pretty sure I was the one that showed everyone the link) anyway, although I haven't tried it yet (this home improvement crap is taking forever) it should work like a charm...at first I was worried it would put undue stress on the little connecting pin and spring that connect the back-plate to the crankshaft, but since they are only under stress during starting, and it's the same stress applied as if you were using the standard OWB, then there should be no downside...

but if there is, by all means benny, keep us posted...I'll do the same if I ever get the chance to try mine 😉

Get new CB bearing if you haven't allready. Also when running aluminum clutch shoes, check the every so often and clean the burrs off the edges of them. If the shoes do not come with springs, get 1 m springs, stock savage springs are to light. the 1 m springs can be a pain to get one but work well with aluminum shoes.

thanks mondradragon the shoes come with 1m springs and I'm getting new bearings next month

yeah I'd like to see how long the Aluminum shoes last so give us a good Work up review of them please.
