Well first off, I have the newest savage x at the moment all completely stock. I've been having trouble with neighbours talking to me about it being noisy, so I decided I want to convert it to a Flux. They discontinued the nitro to flux conversion set so I'll maybe try to order some parts individually. I've also read that on the new savage x you don't need the machined bullet proof diffs, larger drive cups, larger axles, bulkhead. I just want it to run smoothly (no problems), I don't want the craziest, sickest thing on the planet right now. I've also been looking at the savage flux standard parts

will these parts fit?

Do I need any other parts?

PS: I am not selling this truck and buying a flux, I just simply cannot.
PPS: I am open to other motor and esc suggestions, so long as it is cheaper or same price of the flux electronics AND NO SOLDERING REQUIRED. Thanks!

All the parts you need you have linked although I would get rid off

#100906
#100903
#100902

These parts come standard on the savage but NIP they are very very very expensive. For those 3 parts I would order from Alza-racing.

They are way cheaper. I would also add to your list;

#102514
#102093
#86084
#107454

and these if your savage didn't come with them;

#102692

As for the electronics go, I would stay away from the stock Hpi electronics because once again, NIP they are very expensive

250 euros at my LHS for the motor and another 250 euros for the ESC. 500 euros in total and for that price you can get the Castle Creations MMX/2200kv soldered with a deans connector from your LHS with a servo and more upgrades. The price may be different at your LHS but I'm judging from the prices of my LHS. Also, check in on Hobbywing electronics!

I recently converted a Savage 25 to brushless. Rather than use the stock HPI ESC and motor ($166 and $170 online, respectively) I opted to use the Castle Creations 1/8 Mamba Monster 2/Neu-Castle 2200kV combo ($237 on Tower Hobbies).

The downside here is that the ESC comes without a connector and must have one soldered on, but I would think a hobby shop could do that. The motor does not require any soldering.

To mount it all without a ton of new parts I used the brushless conversion kit from Kershaw Designs. I used the low center of gravity (LCG) single motor version.

I also opted to use their hardened Savage Flux gear set to replace the transmission gears (was a 3 speed) and a 44T steel spur gear from HPI (#102093).

A big plus (to me) of doing it this way is that I did not have to replace the TVPs or the motor plate. I have FLM lowered TVPs, but this would also work with the stock plates. Here's how it turned out:

I can provide more details if you're interested.

Cool rig HPICelery, I also had the Kershaw Designs LCG motor mount before I opted out for the Alza-Racing one. The Kershaw brushless conversion has everything for the conversion including the 44T Idler gear, battery boxes and motor mount. Although I chose the HPI Battery boxes because they are bigger. the kershaw ones only fit 1/10 Roar Competition batteries.

Hope this helps too.

@Jelle318 About those battery boxes... I honestly never considered the size of the battery holders. I didn't know you could get bigger batteries! I've been running a Savage for years, but I'm still pretty new to running LiPo batteries.

I'm running 7500 mAh 2s batteries, and they fit in the trays just fine with lots of punch and a long runtime. Would 3s batteries be bigger? What kind of batteries are you running?

@hpicelery The KErshaw design battery boxes are fine for 2s but I tried putting in a 3s and it was waaaaay to small. The part number for the Hpi battery box that comes stock on the Flux HP is 100908. 3S lipos would be bigger than 2s lipos which makes sense because why would a battery with more punch and voltage be smaller? You could find 3s lipos on hobbyking that are small/compact but have a low discharge rate and capacity I believe.

For batteries I use 3s 5000mAh 25C Gens Ace and 3s 4500mAh 45C Team Corally LiPo's

I would like to order all flm stuff to complete my savage 4.6 to a flux. How do I go about getting these awesome products? I already have my MMX motor and speed control need everything else. Any help would be appreciated.

Go Here And pick out what you'd like. Then check Here to see what vendors are near you, or pick out an online site. Ebay usually has their stuff too.

I finally got my film ext lcg tvps servo plate skid plate. All the Goodie's working on getting it all together can't wait to get this beast running!
