Painting Wheels

Anyone had any success painting the stock (flakey chrome) wheels? I want a knarly matt black finish but not sure what to use as I assume they flex quite a lot. I’ve got a couple of cans of spray on truck bed liner I was considering trying but has someone sussed this out already…?
