OK I am no pro, but have done several bodies for myself as well as others, and sold a few on Ebay. But If anyone needs help painting, Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to advise you on how to get the results you are looking for. Probably the best thing is get a peice of glass to practice on, you can lay out a design on it, paint it, then turn it around to see what it would actually look like before triing something you are unsure of on your new body.

I like the glass idea. When you are done you can scrape it off and do another as well. I never thought of doing that before thanks for the idea. I think that in it self is worth some rep.

Yeah. Glass is good. easy to clean and reuse and its great. also good for tuning the pattern on your airbrush. glass is your best friend when triing to figure out how to apply the masking, and paint to get the desired effect.

ya good advice!! i would have never thought of that!! heres some reps from me as well!!

the only real downside to using glass is you don't get the hang of painting inside curves...sweet idea though...

May seem dumb but you could paint on a old light bulb, that has some curves.

Or use an old pyrex bowl. True painting inside these bodies is tricky. But with the glass you can practice taping and painting then turn it around to see what effect you get. I think its good practice rather than try something on a body to find out it did not work.

Best idea I heard of, but not tried yet, was to cut a 2 liter bottle in half and paint inside. It should give you a close feeling of contour plus you can get two for one bottle.
