Those are some pretty parts

I just changed crank timing on my axial 32 last nite, went well.

it revs up faster then before and a little more topend.

The pics look good, but unfortuneately they don't mean much. I can cut and polish the sleeve. Its knowing where and how much to cut. I'm not putting down your work. I 'm just saying the dremmel work is only 1/2 of the equation.

Thats a cool bashing vid. You need one with some plain old w.o.t. passes. Preferbaly one with some markers so you can judge the speed.

someone is grumpy tonite...................lol

lol Ive read enough about modding to know this all now, Obviously what i did didnt hurt the motors, but I also didnt sqeeze everythign out of them either, I also get the same old comments everytime I post my pics, either someone doesnt like it or they do. btw my videos don't represent how well i mod or how fast they go, I don't record every time i go out as id rather have fun then try and show off for the cam, altough i Do have a ton of footage, I do have alot of miles on my trucks.

dremel work does only affect so much performance, I'm only trying to show that I can infact use a dremel and use it right.

the real work that shines besides the polishing is changing port sizes, timing changes and all the other little stuff you don't get to see in the pics.

you likely could make more power out of a motor with a few timing changes vs modding the crap out of the sleeve/ crankshaft.

I like to to learn more on this every day, so if you have any pointers please let me have it🙂

Very Nice response scro! +Rep just for being a good member and not a shelf Queen owner! Also good work on the Mill. That takes guts just to try on a running mill. Keep up the work. :resp:

thanks bank, I will be posting some more when I finish my force 32, and If I get enough time Ill be giving my lrp a little lovin, I'm just busy with work and I work best in the morning so that leaves me the weekends for modding, also my lhs said he will have my motor mount in for the weekend🙂 so I will get a video up of this power racing .27 to show you what its all about, its a rev happy motor🙂

I didnt mean it to sound that way. Its just that lots of people do great dremel work to their sleeves and post pics. What did it do? Its the timming and port resizing that does it, but how do you know what to open them up to? Thats the real skill. That was what I was trying to say. Not trying to put down his work. I thought his vid was to show performance improvement. Thats why I suggested a different type of vid. That one was a great bash vid, but it didnt give you an idea of speed. Since he has teh capability to vid, a beffore and after vid would be cool. He can use that to measure his progress.

thanks for the post grumpy, I know where your getting at, and I appreciate the thought, I actually don't mind it all when someone tells me what i do isnt really doing anything and i fully realize that when I'm modding my motors, I hate the look of a stock sleeve, and I fully realize the potential in a motor from a timing change, it does take alot of skill to change timing properly, and I still think i need some more reading to do on the subject, but when it comes to my skills with the dremel, I feel I have them, and they improve every time I bust out the dremel.

I will Try my best to get a video up to show my latest P&P as soon as possible, but like I said I don't have as much time as ID like to get it up asap.

I will do my best to show you guys I'm not only making the motor tick better, but also dropping the temps, hell my unmodded force was running at 190 pulling great wheelies in my savage and even the occasional wheelie in my Nitrage(with a little hill and 50K center diff fluid)

I'm very happy knowing that people think I'm doing a good job porting, and also that I'm being told theres much improvment other than making a port flow better.

My plan is to make my 32 rev higher but still have the bottom end to get the front of my trucks off the ground, whether I have to do some more reading, trial and error or just plain try something new, bring it on🙂 I can afford to junk my motors so PLease if there is anyone that feels there knowledge could be handed down let me have it, as I will never forget and wont make you look bad either.

Your in Canada.Anywhere near Sylvan Lake? Robin (Purenitro33)at Extreme r/c mods posts a lot of pics of his work. He helped Crash a little with his. He would probably give you some good info. He's a good guy.

this will be my before vid of how my current modding job runs, and If I finish the job on the weekend/get my motor mount I will post another vid in the same manner, and I will open the motor up on the blacktop.
I'm off to bed for now as Ive got to get up in about 6 hours for work.

Actually I'm not near him, but I have looked at his pics for inspiration, and To be honest thats why my axial 32 looks the way it does, besides him knowing alot more about the subject.

In your next vid, let the truck pass you a wot. That way you get to really see it. In that vid your stopping at the best camara spot. Its hard to explain, but try to use the best camara angle to get the engine at its best. Using it like the finish line at a drag strip. Running through not stopping until you pass it. having background stuff like the car is good because you can get a feel for distance.

just keep it up and you nail it, its more the reading for me. I'm off to work yet again, gotta pay for my toys somehow.

got some more work done on the sleeve today, well ive finished the sleeve for now, I didnt get into timing, as I need a few more tools to do it properly, I'm gonna finish the work on the crank tonight and show some pics.

thanks for the comment, the polishing was a quick one with a felt wheel just to clean it up a bit, I didnt go deep at all, and I know it doesnt actually benefit at all from a polishing, but I like it for pics.
the Main reason not to polish too much is it will make the cylinder clearances different, and actually if you go to far will affect overall performance in a negative way.

Heres the finished product on my LRP 28 spec 3, not so much work was put into it as planned but this engine rips to begin with. just some flow mods were done to the sleeve, and I did some work to the Crank.
