Other than Mid-tank can 1/2 tank lean be fixed?

I just installed the new era tank/kit and noticed that the throttle linkage brushes up against the tank. Anyone else have that issue?

Mine does that aswell but i just shaved a tiny bit off of the linkage.

Hey SinisterRC, Like martin34 said, you can shave a bit off the stock throttle linkage. I did that to mine when I installed this tank but I wasn't happy with it so I decided to make a custom throttle linkage out of metal in the size I needed that didn't hit the tank.

I'll post a close-up pic to show detail.

I know this is an old thread but may help so new guys with this issue.

Reposted pics for those who are new the forum/hobby and are looking into the New Era tank mod to help with 1/2 tank lean issue.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out in the this thread. The mod is completed and is coming off the bench today to run. For those who are interested in this mod and are not quite ready to make the move to the mid-tank mod here's some pics for you to reference.

Stock tank before mod

Stock tank removed

New tank bracket installed in stock location using stock holes

Different angle

Support spacers added

Brass nipples added to new fuel tank

New tank mounted in stock location

Attached new fuel line

Another angle of finished mod

Total mod time: 30 minutes
