Os .30

I just purchased a os.30 from 88gtanotchback and was just wondering about best set ups for this mill clutch bell? spur gear? plug? fuel? and ultimate pipe? thanks for the input!!!!

well notnil i have an os .30. I am running a 52 spur gear and 14 cb. Running hpi aluminum shoes and gold springs with the weights. #8 os med hot plug with Byrons 25% gen 2 fuel. I am verry impressed with the mill!

OS you should re gear. with that set up you probably arent getting the top end you should. something like a 49t 17 clutch bell will still give a nice bottom end. and lots more in the top.

Thanks for the offer 88 but I'm going to order a spur and cb with my mid tank mod parts in about another week or 2. I appreciate it though! thinking 18 49 not sure though any ideas with a lcg mid tank mod?

does the shape of the header make that much of a differance? the reason is that the hot bodies pipe and coupler don't fit with stock spring but I could use the stock coupler (header) and it will all fit together I guess I'm just trying to get away from cutting the spring. thanks guys pretty new to this. 88 do you think I should be at 17 49 as well. or does Os have a pretty different set up, pipe tires???

i don't know how OS is set up. the best bet is to find what works for you. you can run 52 14 but you lose top end and need to adjust the tranny to make it work. play around with a few different set ups and see what happens. and its good to hear your getting some OS i think you will like the results of the new gearing.

I am setup pretty stock here with the little things that make it better. Not sure about your pipe i have the hpi polished pipe and had great luck with it. Next I'm going to try the 053 for bottem end i think correct me if I'm wrong or the 086. Other than that its a 3 speed the clutch set up as i listed b4 dirt bonz and thats about it. like 88 said just play around with it.
