Has anyone noticed a difference in durability between these 2 setups?

They are both strong, but Ive heard that the orginal a-arms are stronger, and the x style are lighter, and they are a bit more flexible.

I've been wondering if HPI intentionally decreased the thickness of the arms at certain areas to increase their elasticity, which would reduce the force on the hinge pin area during violent impacts (For those of you who prefer practical physics, think about how a firearm recoil absorber absorbs recoil energy and subsequently reduces recoil force on the shoulder). The molded seam on the bulkhead side of the arm was always the point of failure for my original arms, though I have only broken 2 in 4 years. Maybe I'll try a set out and test my thoughts, I do very much like the captured shock end design.
