ok, so ever since I got my savage x, I've wanted an onboard glow igniter. but all of the ones I saw were still a bother. some you had to press a button on the car, some you even had to hook up every time you wanted to start it! I wanted something that I could control from my transmitter. well, they carry one at my lhs, so I'm thinking of buying it. its a little module that's about the size of a hpi rf-40 receiver, which is the one on the savage x's. it has a cable that goes to the glow plug, and another that goes to the receiver. my question is, I would like to mount it behind the engine, on the inside on the shock tower.where your rotostart shaft would go in towards the engine. would it get to hot back there?

shouldn't get too hot back there, but my question is why do ya want it ? buy a good glow igniter and use that it is not necessary to have an onboard glow igniter on the truck. if ya do get it make sure not to block the point where the roto shaft goes in....

ok, first, I don't have a rotostart, I have a pullstart. that's also why I want it. I'm always holding on to my glow igniter, plus, I have to carry a glow igniter around.

I read about these glo igniter systems, cool idea, but the trusty ol glow igniters are handy to have, easy to use.

Just make sure you have pockets !!!!!!!
If you try one of these out, let us know what you think.
