They are basicaly the same pipe, they look a little different externaly but the internals are the same. The dynamite pipe is hard to get a deflector on due to the stinger support, I would get the ofna if you plan on running a deflector unless your willing to cut the dynamite up.

Thanks Pure. Thats the exact info I was looking for and was hopping you would chime in here on this. I do like running deflectors but will live with out. I really like the header design on the Dynamite and that its hard coated. I'm sure there is a hard coated Ofna one as well just don't find one. I have the Dynamite pipe ordered and should have it by Monday.

This pipe will replace my Vintage Carbon Fiber pipe on my racer savage.

Larz, can we see a pic of that when you get it mounted up?

You sure can. It may be a little while before I get some good pictures because I don't have a motor in it but will have one for it Monday ish is as well so I can probably just mock it all up so you can see what it will look like.

Alright, I received the pipe today here is a quick shot of it.

Here are a few shots of a quick mock up of this pipe on the savage. This pipe is much shorter than most savage pipes but will be easy to make a hanger for.

Looks as it should be a great fit on the savage. However, if using the stock header on some mills you may have to do some grinding on it to get it to clear the back plate. Some engines will be fine. Here is a picture to show this issue:

Also, a shot of the comparison between the Dynamite 086 and the Jammin JP-4:

O ya I better add this. The pictures do not show the springs between header and pipe however they did come with the pipe along with exhaust rubber coupler for engine and the spring that holds header to engine block.

the reason why you might have to frind is the pipe is ment for bumpstart engines which are in most truggy or buggy man o man i want one for my picco so bad

I almost chimed in with pass on the stock header for the savage. But though you knew it was a buggy pipe.

Ya I knew it was a buggy/truggy pipe. The header will work great. All that needs to happen is grinding a tad off the flange and maybe drilling a small hole or 2.

Hey Jason, I know your getting a picco and wanted to know about fitment with the 086. Here is the best I can do for a picture of that, but as you can see, you've got plenty of room 🙂.

Thanks bud for the picture. Greatly appreciated. Exactly why I stated in post #6 that it will depend on the mill's. Great work and thanks for the picture Chad.

did u think to measure the diameter of the pipe internally to see if there is an difference??

lol i dunno but i have my doubts

dynamite seems fatty a bit

They are both romoldeled after the Novarossi 9889 Pipe. I believe they are very very simular. The chrome on the OFNA makes it look smaller.

All the 086 or 053 pipes will have the same basic dimensions. The 086 is the high speed pipe and I believe the 053 is a torque bottom mid pipe.
Larsen are you running the 086 and the JP-4 on similar engines? I was curious if you noticed a difference in performance?
I'm using a JP-4 on my savage with an LRP .28 and it seems to have good power

The 053 is a Mid-range pipe where the 007 is a Low end pipe. They do have slightly different dimensions as that's what make is good in the different range.

I have not run my 086 yet. I will be purchasing another this week. One will be ran on a Modded Mach 427 and the other on a Picco P3 where my JP-4 is ran on a Sirio .30.

The JP-4 I would think is a pretty similar pipe to the 086 pipe as its there for mid to high end with out sacrificing the low end. I do Love my JP-4 as well it sure seemed to wake up the Sirio when I replaced the TL RTR pipe I was running on it.

Oh sorry, what I meant was all the 086 pipes would have the same basic dimensions regardless of the manufacturer, not that the 086 and 053 had the same.

A deflector is basically a rubber hose that are made by several different company's to deflect the oil off your truck weather it be the a-arms or tires or whatever.

Here is a picture of a Gray deflector by Dubro that I used to use:

Here is a few shots of both of my trucks with the Dyn 086 Pipes:
