I have a few pics of my savage x 4.1 where I have lightened it, note , I did this a few years ago and have not broken any of the parts I have lightened, still have new parts sitting on backup. I have ran the heck out of it and jumped it high. I am posting pics of lightened A arms and lower x bracing in lower uprights. And trimmed body post at lower setting I want body to sit to get rid of weight and maintain durability.. this is just a tip for anybody wondering if it's still durable, I had quite a pile of material when done lightening my truck. I used a carbide tip in my dremmel.
 
it was a f4.1 my upgrades ive done are f4.6 with one head shim removed, now 3 shims in head. 29/9 blocked and shimmed diffs with 50,000 weight oil. single big bore shocks to get clearance for xl header and muffler. upgraded servo"s, and lightened where I could, still durable and fast as heck. I run a 2500 hump pack. I'm currently breaking in a picco .28 boost turbo to top it off, cnat waite till spring and smoking some friends!
 
I guess my excuse for this is I work in a body shop painjting cars. Just cant leave anything alone, always tinkering and modifying stuff, boredom I guess! Always looking for more power and weight savings!
