First off for those that remember me, I'd just like to say "hello" and "I'm back". So, I took my truck out for the first time in over a year. Put it through the paces, went off a 3 foot high ramp. You know, the basics. I only came away with a bent shock shaft and a broken dogbone. I admit I am a little bummed because these aren't any ordinary dogbones, these are Tsais T-Bonz CV Driveshafts. Anyway heres just one picture of the days carnage. Good to be back.

Nice carnage, to bad it wasn't like a 20 -30 foot jump instead of 3 feet..Oh and by the way welcome back dude!!

Well, I'm seriously considering the LST shock conversion and hopefully I can find a single Tsais T-Bonz CV Driveshaft on eBay.

FX If your going to redo your truck look around a bit .. things have changed a bunch since you got out of the savage .. No offence

None taken. What are some of my options? I've seen the big bore shocks but I don't like the look of them mainly because I don't want plastic shocks. I thought about running 8 front Baja shocks but those things are way too expensive.

BTW- this is what I'm running now

Flux cheapys are plastic, the big bores are not gold anodised aluminum. Also come with changeable valving and use hellfire main springs for tuning. Only way they could get better is to add threaded preload. With the other options they do have that can be over looked. They also come with more than enough clips to do any set load you want. I went to these from LST's aside form the racing conversion kit one of the single best handling upgrades I have done. IMHO they are a solid product. I have had a set since the release about 7-8 months ago and have held up to every thing I have tossed at them even 20+ feet of air. I do land on four tires nine out of ten jumps though.. 1 bent shaft to report in that time frame and I got it on tape. I can not comment on the flux big bores never run them but ya have to put into account they are a strip down version for a RTR...

Wow that sounds like a add lol but I do recommend them.

This is me being stupid and bending one. Note the shaft bent but all else was fine and it sheared off the mount bolt. Most bodies would have been toast.

Just my 2 cents on the big bores hope it helps you make a informed choice.

After even further inspection another one of the dogbones was bent. Last time I buy Tsais cvds.

well fx as for the cvds check out the flux or the xl dogbone upgrade they are thicker then the stockers and much more durable. as for the flux cheapy big bores i have put probably 10 tanks on them and havnt had a problem with them yet. they coe with the same preload clips as there alloy counter part and use all the same hellfire springs
