No damage

As some of you guys know, I had to evacuate for hurricane Gustav. After losing everything in Katrina, I was really nervous. It was looking pretty bad for a while. I was finally able to get in today to check things out and to my suprise very little damage. Some fence boards loose, plenty debris to clean up, and my fish died. The fish is actually the worst part if youve seen my tank in my p.b. album see link in sig. youd understand. Thats nothing though in the big picture. Thats an easy fix. I'm really greatful that I came out unscaved. I'm still stuck here in the hotel though. No electricity or sewerage yet.

There's 4 more storms in the atlantic. Hana, Ike, Josephine, and probably Kyle. Hopefully these go away and don't cause any of us any damage. Hana looks like shes going to the east coast. My thoughts are with you guys. The others are still too far to tell. Ike has me uneasy.

Thanks to all you guys who have given me support and encouragement. You are a great bunch of guys.

man i see stuff like that on the news all the time and i feel for the people that loose everything I'm praying and hoping it passes right by everyone!!!! and I'm so sorry to hear about the fish, alot of people don't realize that alot of times the animals suffer the worst!!!

Glad to hear you came out of it in decent shape. If there is anything you need, let me know. Tomorrow I will start prepping for Hanna since she looks to be coming my way, no clue about Ike and I think the Gulf Coast has had there fair share lately, I think Josephine will hit the east coast also. Do not know anything about Kyle.

I just rode back from Memphis and saw several caravans of electrical crews going down to help you guys.

We waved to everyone and talk to few guys from upper Michigan on they're way down to help.

Glad you still have a house to go to .. VERY sorry to hear about your prior Katrina loss ..

I couldn't imagine .. Can you tell us how the goverment treated you ?

I'm home. Even have cable and int. Spent all day cleaning debris, but at least i'm home thank God. Crash weve got crews from everywhere working on power. Those guys are doing a heck of a job.

Wow, it's difficult for me to imagine, because I'm so far away. This really brings it home though, it must be awful.

Glad your ok Jimmy, sorry to here about your fish and your Katrina disaster......I had know idea. I hope everything works out for you.
