i'm lookin' into getting a second r/c truck & need some advice. Saw the Hellfire tear it up & can afford a used one on ebay & then hop up. Also, the Nitro MT2 is in my price range new at the LHS. Anyone run an MT2 and is it easy to get parts?
.
will prob give my 2nd truck to my son when he is old enough to outgrow his electric.

I would get the MT2, the Hellfire has been discontinued.....My lhs has mt2 parts but that doesnt help you lol....

.
Thanks sunk. did they discontinue just the kit hellfire or both the kit & rtr? also, on your next trip to your lhs, would you mind askin' if they sell many
MT2's and any feedback like durability, etc. would help me out. thx, frddyj

The MT2's are pretty durable and fun. The Rear Diff isn't the greatest though. The best thing to do is lock it or it will keep blowing out.

I'm not sure where you guys are getting that the hellfire is discontinued because everywhere I see it selling new is still selling them at least in the RTR.

I would get the Hellfire. Other wised vypr is selling a Losi 8ight-T which is a much better Truggy than the Hellfire. Looks like you need a motor and radio with his but you could get it running pretty easy for under $375 with a new Mach 427 off ebay and like 645 servos and a cheap radio. This thing retails for like $600 new as a roller. It will way out run the Hellfire or the MT2.

I like the MT2 and will probably get one at some point but I love my Truggy and when purchased I fought between a Hellfire and a CRT (Price range) Wish I could have afforded a 8-T at the time or could find a good deal.

Good Luck.

How much money do you have to spend.... ?

I would buy a used Mugen MBX5T.a new MBX6T is about to be released and people will be dumping their 5T's....... These are extremely high quality machines known for having unmatched durability..... They are the Lexus of the RC world....... You can find used ones as low as $250.00, parts are cheap and readily avaialble which makes it an awesome choice for a second RC....... I have 25 gallons plus on my 5T running the wildest hardcore motors and I am still on 100% stock original diffs..I have however replaced my CVD's 1 time in my machines life....I have broken 2 control arms and lost several screws....other then that these things do not break........

If you a Savage guy and want a durable Truggy a used Mugen MBX5T cannot be matched....

Thats a pretty sweet video. On not sure if that Mugen is the toughest, most of the Truggy are pretty tough. I will agree that it is one of the best thought all thought the new associated RC8T is sick as well.

Here's a pict of my CRT flying
Truggy.jpg

This thing flew like this and higher and further about 30-40 times and never busted a thing. Just ask Drummerguy or Rcwheelin.

Anyhow back to subject, I would not get the MT2 I would get a full blown Truggy weather its a MBX5T, 8ight-T, CRT, etc.
