I went to purchase some more fuel today only to find none in stock. I asked if it was best to stay with the same brand of fuel, it was explained that it was because the detergents used in the fuel differ.

Tried another shop on the way home but the brand was different, the sales person at this shop said it made no difference as long as it was the same %.

So I have looked a little further, the 2 links below are fuels available here in Oz

HOT STUFF
http://ozzietraders.com/Hot_Stuff_Fuel/hot_stuff_fuel.html and link hobby shop and it gives a more detailed look at the % http://www.stanbridges.com.au/index.cfm/shop.MODEL-FUEL

The fuel I have been using now , mine is competiotion 25% but on the web link that fuel is green in colour mine is red code PG525T

Could I have your opinions as to the theories above and what is the prefered % blends of Synthetic oil, Castor oil and nitro.
Keeping in mind that I am Australia and the temp at this time of years is around 35c

Generally it is best to stick to one brand of fuel as they are all a little different and have different run characteristics.

I run Byron 30% RACE Gen 2 which i believe is 11% oil, I cant remember what the percent of that is syn/cast. I'm sure bank or someone will remember and chime in.

with fuels I find that especially in aus you should prolli keep the same brand, mind you Ive just got an odd mentality when thinking about these things. Just also watch out if you switch between brands that you make sure that your mixture is the same. I went from 15-5 to 10-5 and for ages I had a few minor tuning dramas as I counteracted the difference. I reckon you find a top quality drop and buy in bulk so you have a touch of reserve and might save tuning problems later.
