I know this is probs a silly question. But the numbers associated with engines. How do they relate to actual cc. For eg a .28 Mack star, a 25 savage a 46 savage a 15 18 this or that; what does it mean!! ?

Thanks. That clears that up nicely. ?When you see .10, .12, .15, .18, .21, .28, .30, .32, etc. that's CI (cubic inch) . When you see whole numbers, that's CC (cubic centimeters) usually.
.15 ci = 2.46 cc( round to 2.5)
.21 ci = 3.44 cc (F3.5 was a .21)
.28 ci = 4.59 cc (round to 4.6)
.30 ci = 4.99 cc
.32 ci = 5.24 cc
The Nitrostar S-25 was a .25 ci. They kind of went rogue with that. lol!
You do not want to see my LiPo spreadsheet... I kind of went off the rails with that. lol!
Oh I think we do. ?You do not want to see my LiPo spreadsheet... I kind of went off the rails with that. lol!
I’d just like to take this opportunity to correct my fellow RCers. But it is Maths. Maths not Math! Math does not make sense!NOOOOOOO. MATH IS SCARY

Both maths and math are shortened forms of the word mathematics, which is the study of number, quantity, and space. Math is the American variant. Maths is the British variant. Luckily, there is a very easy way to remember maths vs. math. Maths ends in the letter S, just like the river Thames in England. If you can link this bit of British geography to the British word maths, you should have no trouble remembering the usage cases for these variants.
You’re right. I’ll get my coat ?
