I've been lurking for about a month since I got my Savage X 4.6. I have already got quite a few hop-ups and up graded both servo's. I am running a Hitec 7955TG for my steering and a Hitec 5565 for my throttle. I have only ran about half a gallon through it so far. It has broken in well and I have it tuned pretty nicely. My question is yesterday when I was running after about 20 minutes on my second tank of nitro the steering suddenly seemed to get very weak. When I picked up the truck the steering would seem fine but when running the steering radius seemed to get HUGE and the wheels barely were turning. I have a Futaba 3PL radio and running a 2500 MAH battery 6.0v that was fully charged before running. I have searched and searched and cant seem to find an answer. I adjusted my end points when I set up my radio. I am totally new at this but have a decent understanding so far. I tried looking up BEC's but that seemed for mostly electric RC's. Do I need a glitch buster. From everything I read about the 7955tg it should be PLENTY for my steering on my Savage X. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. I will keep checking this post to see if you guys have any questions about my setup that might fix my issue.

first, be sure that there are not foreign objects, such as sticks or rocks, stopping it from moving. u said the battery was charged? was that in both the tx and the rx? is ur servo making any noises? is there a lot of play in the steering?

Well I put brand new Enegizier Lithium batteries in my transmitter Sunday which was the last day I ran it before yesterday and my screen shows plenty of juice. I have replaced the bushings with bearings and have an aluminum steering bell crank that is very tight but moves very smoothly too so there is no play. I didn't see anything stuck in the steering components or part of the drive train. I am just really at a loss concerning what is causing this.

disconnect the linkage and see if it acts normally, if not is probably the servo having a problem, if it acts normally then is probably some binding in the steering system causing the trouble....

I may be all wet here gwalk03, but I had what sounds like same issue with one of my vehicles, and the servo saver was so loose it was hardly there. Try tightening it up real good and see if that helps. It seemed fine when I was holding it up but on the ground the turning radius was like non existent.😕

I was having the same problem before with the turning, after adjusting the servo saver and getting a 5 cell hump pack battery never had a problem since then.
