New to the forums here and have a stupid question new savage 4.6 big block

The other day my throttle servo went out and I had the original steering servo laying around so I put it in, now my range on my tuck has gone down to about 20 yards then I can't control it. New battery's are in the truck as well as the controller

Make sure the antenna on the receiver/transmitter have not been damaged at all

Welcome Joe.... sorry to say it could be alot of different things... check all the connections first thing and check back....

I have the same problem I thought it was the servo turned out it was the receiver so I put a new one it but it only works for a few mins the the break locks until I shut the receiver and transmitter off it's not even a week old

If your range is the issue, it's the receiver. And like upbasher stated, it's like the condition/ placement of the antenna.

What radio gear are you using by the way?

I'm using a Futuba remote and RF-30 hpi receiver. I fried two RF-40s . The truck is up and running now so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's good too go
