New to savage

Hello everyone just picked up 3 nitro savages for a 100 bucks looks like everything's there minus the radios on all of them I used to tinker around t maxxs a good bit I would like to build a nice truck for my son. What are some things I can do to this to hop up,things to look for,things to stay away from all of them look like big block motors thanks jason

Best thing you can do is a 2.4 g radio system, a couple of decent high torque servos and maybe a robinson racing steel spur and clutch bell set, other than that a Savage is pretty stout.... yes HPI built the Savage in many iterations and all were Big Block powered, Mine runs best with Sidewinder 20% nitro fuel...
