New Savage XS SS build.

Hello.

I just bought a new unopened Savage XS SS kit and am going to do a full build log as I go. This truck will not be starting life stock! I have already ordered several parts for it from GPM.

I am in need of only a few things that I have not decided on yet.

Motor / ESC.
Tires / wheels.
Paint for the body.

I have every thing ells ordered already.

So do you guys have any recommendations for me?

Well all parts have been ordered.

Everything but paint. Still not sure on how I want to paint this thing just yet.

Ill be starting on the build in a week or so when I have some free time.

It will take some time to finish.

What motor and ESC did you end up going with?

I went with the new Traxxas Velinion system.
Traxxas just updated the ESC and motor. The ESC now has larger capacitors and more power.
The motor is now a 4 pole 3500kv 540 and has stronger magnets , it replaces the old 2 pole 3500kv 540.

Should be plenty of power for this truck. People often used the old Velinion system and liked it. So this should be even better.

The truck will be waterproof when it's finished. And it will use a Traxxas TQi radio that I already have to control it.
