So I sold a brand new axial 32 to my bud that was a factory replacement to me. The first time he ran it on a bench when it got to 210* it started leaking out the front bearing and from there the temp shot up sharply and he shut it down. He repeated the process 3 more times and called axial and they told them to send it back. They said they put a double shielded bearing in it because the other was defective and shipped it back. On the first run same thing leaking out front bearing so we took it out and was not double shielded. So we replaced the bearing with a new one and the same thing again. What could be causing this at the same place over and over and only after 200*?:dunno:

Might be the block ,,, my surefire .32 had the same problem .. the block might be milled wrong not sure other then that . might consider boca bearings

yup...if it's not the bearing, only other options would be the block, or the crank...

also, are you sure it's not coming out around the carb, and leaking down to the bearing??

Steve Pond metioned a little trick about using some soappy water to find air leaks at numerous locations.

This is done by pressurizing the crankcase by plugging the carb's intake hole with your thumb and then using
a clean 12 inch piece of fuel line to blow into the carb's fuel inlet fitting.

Place the piston at 15 degrees past BDC. (basically, block the exhaust port from air escaping the crankcase)

Spray some soappy solution on all the area's that are known to be leak prone. Like the backplate area, carb flute
and locking bolt, needle threads, heatsink to crankcase connection, bearing at the crankshaft, ect.

Connect the clean fuel line to the fuel inlet fitting and blow through the line with your mouth while your thumb
is covering the carb's air intake.

Look for bubbles to appear at the area's of consern. If you see a bubble(s),... you found a leak spot .

We did use soapy water and I'm sure it's leaking at the bearings not the carb. I think the problem is bigger than bearing since we've tried two different brands.

You can try thread lock in the bearing race to see if it's a gap that can be made air tight and filled up. Just a thought... Good luck, bro

ok i know this is an old post but locktite makes a special locker for bearings and races.... its the green stuff called "bearing and race retainer"

I've never seen that before is it available everywhere? I'll pass that on to my bud he is still having problem with that P.O.S😛epsi:
